If you have a heart for students in Jr. High and High School, love to work with volunteers, are enthusiastic about interacting with staff, students, and parents, outside vendors and going to camps, our Eastvale campus has an opening for a part-time (20hrs/week) Student Ministry position. This position may be hired as at the Coordinator or Director level depending on ministry experience.

What You Will Do

Weekend Worship Services
•    Prepare all elements of weekend services
•    Set up and tear down the rooms used
•    Prepare and deliver message each week
•    Create an environment each week that provides connection time, worship time, avenues for visitors to attend, and helps students engage and take next steps in their spiritual journey
•    Build teams of adult leaders and student leaders to help with the development and execution of the weekend experience

Small Groups
•    Program preparation, student development and working with host homes to ensure the students small groups are offered during the school year
•    Recruit and develop adult life group leaders who will encourage and disciple students in their faith

Connection Events
•    Provide, coordinate, and facilitate a monthly connection event to build stronger relationships outside of the weekend and mid-week small group experience
•    Provide the opportunities for students to bring their un-churched friends

What You Have Done
•    Prior experience in student ministries
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office
•    A Bachelor’s Degree is highly desirable, or equivalent ministry experience

•    You thrive when there are multiple and shifting priorities
•    You are both a big picture and a detail thinker
•    You love to interact with students and parents in person, on the phone, and via email
•    You can lead, direct, coordinate, organize and follow through on projects from beginning to end.

Saddleback Church’s pay philosophy is based on internal and external data for pay equity, along with budgetary considerations for effective stewardship. Pay will be provided at a range of $21 - $22 (Coordinator) or $25 - $26 per hour (Director). We will provide a pay rate that is within our salary structure and that fits a candidate’s qualifications and experience for the job. A wage range posted is not a guarantee of a specific wage for a job offer.
